Getting Started with BarTender Track & Trace
Welcome to BarTender Track & Trace
BarTender Track & Trace is a cloud-based service that adds product tracking capabilities to your BarTender Cloud labeling system, providing a unified printing and tracking solution.
It is an optional add-on for BarTender Cloud customers.

What is BarTender Track & Trace?
Your existing BarTender label printing pipeline introduces your physical assets into the digital tracking pipeline. BarTender Track & Trace takes the asset's KDE (Key Data Elements) traveling with the label and combines them with other data points found across your manufacturing and logistics systems to provide answers with asset-level granularity for questions such as:
- What is it?
- What is it made of?
- When and where was it made?
- Where is it now?
- Where does it need to be?
- Why isn't it where it needs to be?
The Track & Trace service primarily uses RFID or 2D QR Code labels for asset tracking.
