Overview

BarTender Cloud includes a feature that allows a designated failover printer on a different Print Gateway to automatically take over in case the printer you've selected for a print job fails to print.

This article will show you how to enable this setting.

Information

1. Start by using the left-hand toolbar on the BarTender Cloud Home page to navigate to Administration > Security > Printers.

2. Click on the printer you want to designate a failover for from the list of available printers.

3. Select Redirect from the tabs at the top. You can use the dropdown menu to designate a printer to take over in the event of a printer or Print Gateway failure. Do Not Redirect is the default setting.
4. Click Save Changes to finish.
