BarTender On-Premises v11.11 – Release Notes

BarTender® v11.11 delivers targeted enhancements that support more precise control over label printing and increased reliability in dynamic printing environments. This release continues our focus on helping organizations maintain operational efficiency while adapting to evolving printing needs.

Release

The release will be deployed on December 19, 2025.

Note: The previous BarTender release was version 11.8.0. The current release is version 11.11.0. Seagull has skipped versions 11.9.0 and 11.10.0 for BarTender in order to align the version numbers with BarTender Cloud, which has had two versions released between BarTender releases.

What’s New

• Field Names on the RFID Print Properties Dialog Have Been Simplified: Some field names on the RFID Print Properties dialog have been changed to bring them more in line with GS1 nomenclature.
• Changing Object Data Sources: Four new tags have been added to BarTender's BTXML feature enabling users to change object data sources from a database field to an embedded data Named Data Source.
• Updates to Versioning: BarTender has been updated so that version numbers containing two digits in the middle position display correctly. For example, version 11.11.0 displays correctly on all version information inside BarTender.

• When suppression rules for data sources create a loop (i.e., cross-referencing the data sources with each other), the Designer now displays an error instead of crashing.
• When linking a query prompt on a data entry form, the autocomplete feature is no longer disabled by BarTender.
• A small but noticeable degradation in Integration Builder's print performance when using network shared folders in v11.5 has been corrected in this release.
• When adding an EPC type RFID tag that uses DSGTIN+, Bartender no longer displays an error.
• The Protected Actions (e.g., edit file, add notes) specified in Export Options for native PDF are now applied when the Encryption option is enabled.
• Combining AI (00) SSCC and AI (01) GTIN in a GS1-128 barcode no longer creates an error.
• The Print Station startup screen now displays the correct company name.
• Connecting to Azure SQL from a port other than the default no longer fails.
• In File Integration, when a large number of files are in the scan folder, BarTender no longer encounters high CPU usage and performance degradation.
• When upgrading from BarTender 11.5.1 to 11.8 using a Professional or Starter workstation edition license, the license activation no longer fails.
• When printing to a Shared USB printer, BarTender now prints without an error.
