Working with Pick Lists in Track & Trace
Overview
Pick lists enable you to compile and organize a set of assets in advance of physically retrieving individual items. They function similarly to a shopping list, providing a structured way to track and collect the required items efficiently as you work through the list.
This article will provide a guide on how to use picklists effectively.

Information
Be aware that marking items as picked does not make any changes to those items within Track & Trace. If the location of your items has changed you will need to edit the item for these changes to be reflected in the system.
Create a Pick List
- Tap on Search.
- Make sure the correct Store is selected and look for an asset that you want to add to your picklist.
- Once you have found your asset, tap on Add to Pick List.
- A shopping cart button will appear in the top right with the number of assets that you have added.
- Return to Search by tapping the Back button in the top left and add the remaining assets.
- Once all of the assets have been added, tap on the shopping cart button.
- Here you can adjust the number of items that are needed for each asset and create your pick list by tapping on Create pick list at the bottom.
- You will be prompted to assign a user to the pick list for delivery as well as a delivery location which can be selected directly on the store map.
- Tap again on Create pick list to finalize the process.
Fulfill a Pick List
- Once a pick list has been created, users can view the pick list by tapping on Pick in the main interface.
- Tap on the pick list that you wish to fulfill.
- Here you will see some information for the pick list at the top and below that you have the list of assets to be picked as well as some filtering controls for the list.
- If you don't know where the items are located you can choose the Find items button at the bottom. This will open Geiger mode and you will be guided to the item by moving around while holding the trigger on the RFID scanner.
- Once you have found the item it will automatically be selected. Release the trigger and scan it one more time to automatically mark it as picked.
- If you already know where to find each item, just tap on the item in the list and add each item using the + button as you collect them. For your convenience, you can also input the number of picked items directly using the keyboard button on the left or choose one of the other pick options below.
- The progress bar at the top will gradually fill up as you mark items as picked.
- Once it reaches 100%, you can see the drop off location by clicking on the 🛈 icon at the top.
- After dropping of the items, you can complete the pick list by tapping on Validate & send.
Keep in mind that you will need to update the picked items manually in Track & Trace as their locations are currently not changed automatically by the pick list. Have a look at this article to see how to manually update an item's location.
