FTP based integrations

Looking for some documents or videos on how to set up FTP based intergration. Client transfers files to ftp site and use them to genearte labels.

Able to do other integrations where software and files are in same server. Instead of writing  scripts to transfer files just want to use folder directly from FTP.

  Thank you for using the BarTender forums! While we don't have much documentation for FTP exactly, FTP integrations are part of File Integrations. Here's some articles on File Integrations & Integrations in general to get you started:

  • How to create a basic CSV integration using database overrides
  • Integration Platform Documentation

  For FTP in particular, if you're having issues with not being able to put in the location correctly, it doesn't need the protocol for the host:

  • Cannot save FTP location in Integration Builder or the Administration Console

  And if you're just having trouble finding the option in general, when you open Integration Builder, select File Integration as the type, then go to File Detection > Location > Add a Location > Select your type of FTP. (BT2021 shown in screenshot below, but similar across most versions.)
