Generate UUID codes, VBScripting

Trying to generate UUID codes. (using Bartender 2016 R9)
Found this link for script that should work but getting syntax errors in bartender.

Function CreateGUID
Dim TypeLib
Set TypeLib = CreateObject("Scriptlet.TypeLib")
CreateGUID = Mid(TypeLib.Guid, 2, 36)
End Function

Testing script returns error:
OnAutoSelectedEvent (Line 1):Function CreateGUID: Syntax error.

Any suggestions?
