"Use Printer's Clock" Greyed Out

How can I enable the "Use Printer's Clock" option.  Currently for me, it is greyed out.  I was told by my IT that we have current drivers.  What are the possible explanations that could cause this?

  This option is only available if the driver detects a Real Tme Clock in the printer. Many printers do not come with this option as standard and it is an optional extra.
