How to create a barcode that does the same thing when scanned as Alt-N on the keyboard?

The customer has an app that responds to Alt-N from the keyboard.  He would rather scan a barcode than key in the Alt-N each time.  How can I create this barcode using Bar Tender?

  There doesn't seem to be an ASCII character for that command and so I would normally program the scanner to perform it after it transmits the data (instead of the usual CR/LF)
