Visual bug in Record Picker search control?

Is it just me or is the search control to big for the record picker?
Looks the same in Print Station and Print Portal.

No biggie, it just annoys me.
Would be great if the underlying html templates for Print Station/Portal could be edited, can they?

  .. i can make it fit by making the Record Picker wider, but that is just wasting space in the form.
