Mid Of Barcode

Hi

 

I'm trying to create a substring of a barcode value on my label. How do reference the barcode on the label in the vb script? I can ref database fields but i can't seem to ref any of the fields that exists on the label ?

  So i'm trying something like....
  
  mid(Field("txt_my_field"),2,5)

   

  ...but i get an error when i run it saying : Field not found.

   

   

  txt_my_field exists under data sources, label object strings. Do i need to reference this in a different way?

  That looks like it should be working fine.

   

  What version of BarTender are you using?

   

  How are you setting up your script?  Or, can you just attach a copy of the label format that you're using?
