Named Data Source Not Active

Hi,

I created a label with 3 layers. I set a conditional print for each layer which refers to a named data source.

For some reason, when I open this file and print or priview the print, all I see is a blank label. What I need to do is double click on the named data source to sort of wake him up and remind him to do his job.

 

Is this the way it's supposed to work, or is there a way to take care of this issue?

  How are you initially initializing the named data source object?  Do you have it set as a prompted/database object?
