Newbie Requesting Basic Help Please
Sorry for the newbie question, but I'm hoping someone can help me out or point me in the right direction. What I want to do is generate bar codes for asset tracking. Each label must have a unique value that allows me to assign that specific asset to an individual. So, I need a few hundred labels with unique, presumably sequential, values, and I need the software to remember where it left off, so that a few months from now, when I need additioanl labels, I don't get any duplicate values. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

An embedded serial number value in your label design can do this, if you're careful, as the number with auto-increment will help make it unique, and choosing the "update value after print" option ensures that the next value is kept ready to print next time. Note that because the serialized value if embedded into the BT document file, you'll need to re-save the label before closing BarTender.
