Manual Control Of Serial Numbers

Our company is required to produce labels with a barcoded Purchase Order number for a large customer. We are a small shop and our normal order processing, shipping, etc. is a manual process.

We are using Bartender Version 10.

Each label has the To/From shipping addresses, the PO Number, the weight of each package, and a serialized package number for that shipment. The weight of each package needs to be manually entered as the labels are printed. So, as an example we need to produce the following serialization numbers on the labels for one shipment:

1 OF 5 75 LBS
2 OF 5 75 LBS
3 OF 5 112 LBS
4 OF 5 112 LBS
5 OF 5 600 LBS

I can get Bartender to print serialized labels using a data entry form to request the PO number, etc. How do I get it to ask and let us manually enter the weight of each of the five packages in the example above?

Any suggestions or pointers to other threads is appreciated.

  If I understand correctly you wish to be able to enter manually a different value for each serialized printed label?
  
  If that is the case, the only way to get it done is to make sure that the serial number is updated after printing (activate the "update data source after print" option) and sending a separate print job for each serial number.
  
  Note that a Data Entry Form can only appear at the begging of a print job or for each individual record (if using a database).
