I Need Help With Adding Or Removing Symbols That Are Attached With Data Source

I have a question about adding a data source from excel, so i added a symbol

through adding a data source. but i want only certain labels to have it and
certain ones to have no symbol. but when i leave it empty on excel on the
bartender software the label has this bunched up symbols together. how to i
empty out the space is that is the label i want without the symbol.

  You could try a suppression so the data source is not shown when the field on the excel is blank.

   

  If you open the properties on the field, go to the data source transform tab and click on suppression.  Select the option to suppress when data source is blank and that might solve the issue.
