Maintenance Of .bak Files

We have daily system backups running with an option set to retain 15 days. Should this also apply to the .BAK files that are created or do they need to be purged manually?

  You would need to maintain the backup files separately.  There is no utility to automatically maintain them.

  Hi, My I ask,

  When we tried to purge the data base, the transaction log file size increased a lot, from about 2GB to 10 GB and server have no more free space. Do we have any way to avoid that huge increment?
