Configuration System Failed To Initialize

This morning when starting up Bartender, on opening the Administration Console, I get the following error :-

Configuration System Failed to initialize Root Element is missing. (Followed by a long path to a file name that exists!)

  Could you tell us what BarTender version, edition, and service release are you using? After some research, we have found that in some cases, updating BarTender to the latest service release did away with this issue.
  
  In order to update BarTender to the latest service release, please follow the steps detailed in this article. Also, you can find the latest BarTender service releases on our Download Webpage.
