Not able to print special characters in GS1-128 Barcode

Hi all, 

In my company, we're struggling with printing special characters (é, à, ù, ...) in our barcodes in BarTender. We use the GS1 standard and for barcodes, we normally use the GS1-128 barcode type. 

Is there something that I should activate in BarTender? Or is it the barcode type that I should change? 

In the below picture, you can see that Bartender doesn't show the special characters in the barcode.

  I could be wrong but I believe you can only encode ASCII 32 to ASCII 127 characters in GS1 barcodes and so the letters with accents are not recognised as they can not be encoded.
