I Need A "tab" Between Two Fields In A Data Matrix Barcode
I have a seemingly simple need. I need to have a Data Matrix 2D barcode with two fields and there must be a "tab" inserted between the two fields. I am using version 10.1. I can not figure this out. My first field is say "APR" and my second field is "O001". When I try to use an embedded data between the two with a "tab" I get one field on my barcode that looks like. "APR0O001". I have attached two screen shots. One of the screen in Bartender and the other is the resulting barcode.[attachment=1594:barcode.jpg][attachment=1595:screen.jpg]

That looks like a caret symbol rather than a tab. Use the omega button to the right of the text input box to insert your <HT> (horizontal tab) control character.

Thanks Ian that worked. I have one additional thing that I am not sure if it relavent to the barcode design. When I scan the barcode it populates the first field and then tabs to the second field, but does not fill it in. Do I need to add someting to the barcode after the second field to get it to populate?

That kind of depends on the app and barcode reader configuration that you're using on the data capture side. Sorry, but data capture isn't really my specialty.
