Web Adress Hyperlink In Datamatrix

Hi everyone,

 

I've search on forum content but I didn't find anything about hyperlink.

 

One of my customer want to me to print a datamatrix with a field like "www.abc.com" combined to another web adress. The direct adress is very hudge and I don't find any option to make a hyperlink text directly in Bartender.

 

Is it possible ?

 

Actually, the only way I found is to tell him to use an adress-shrinker. And I don't think he will ...

  If you're looking to substitute a certain hyperlink with a larger web site address, you will need to do this at print time (by programming the bar code reader to perform a substitution), and not when encoding the bar code.

   

  Is your customer worried about the size the Data Matrix bar code will take when entering the "large" hyperlink, or do they perhaps just don't want the human readable part of the Data Matrix bar code to be that large? If they're just worried about the human readable part, you can leave the Data Matrix bar code content with the "large" hyperlink content, then set the "Human Readable" visibility to "None" and place a different text object below the Data Matrix bar code. You can then write the desired "short" hyperlink to be the Human Readable for your bar code.
