Newbie Needs Help Upc-A
We just started printing labels for our customers. I am very new to the UPC world.
We are running Bartender Light-
My customers on mainly food related. I just did our first UPC-A code in bartender. Of course it did not scan properly.
i tried floating the code onto a colored background to match the label. Did not work functionally but looked good.
As I see most barcodes that are upc A are all on white backgrounds with sometimes colored bars. Mostly black. Is this mandatory?
How small can I scale the barcode? We have a small label. How do I scale it without distorting the skew or density?
Are the default densities and bar sizes set in Bartender?

High contrast barcodes (black on white) is best and highly recommended. Anything less than this is okay, but subject to the quality of the barcode reader in use. The same is true of barcode size and density. Keeping close to nominal size is best, like you see in the supermarket, smaller sizes are allowed, but again subject to the abilities of the barcode reader. 0 -
