Print Mode Changes When I Print Using The Usb Cable

I am using the Zebra ZM400 printer and Bartender 9.10. Our print server was down and I tried to print labels by connecting the printer to my laptop. When I printed it would change my Print mode from Peel Off to Tear Off and reset the Tear Off to 000. Of course the windup stopped working and the printer kept printing out labels. Once the print server was back up I reset the settings and tried printing again this time using the print server. This time the Print Mode stayed on Peel Off and the Tear Off stayed the same. What would cause this to happen and is there a way I can stop this from happening?

  Normally print settings are stored as part of the label design.  Open the document, select the "File>Print" menu item, and then click the "Document Properties" button.  Check that the print modes are set either explicitly or, just using the current printer setting, and make your changes as needed.  Make sure you save the document once done.
