Bartender Installation

Hi,

 

We installed Bartender(still we have trail version) on our server( Windows Server 2008) and having odbc connection with informix DB.

We have remote PC with different application to execute bartender in command mode and to generate the labels silently.Therefore we installed bartender.exe in the remote PC but all the .btw files are located on the server.

Lables printed out nicely without any error but without data but only the design template. Therefore I installed the odbc with same data source name in the remote PC as well. But it make no difference.

Please help me out

  Have you tested BarTender manually on this "remote PC" to check that the label connects to the DB okay and prints labels correctly before even attempting to do so via automation?  What type of automation are you using?  Simple command lines?  How is the print action initiated?  Have you considered using either the .NET SDK, or the middleware solution of either the Integration Platform (BT 2016) or Commander (v10.1 or older)?

  Hi,

   

  Thanks for your reply. I could able to figure out the issue. Initially I thought as all the .btw are in the server, it uses the odbc connection of the server. Once I created a odbc connection and named database connection for Bartender in each remote PCs it works nicely.
