Bar Tender Not Printing In Trial Mode

I have installed a trial version of bartender, it shows 27 days of trial left  as of today. When I try to print a label either using the bar tender or the .net SDK sample LabelPrint, it goes onto trying to connect to the SLS, which it obviously doesn't find since this is a trial version.

 

I am at a loss why it need to connect to SLS even in trial version?

  Could you also attach a screenshot of the "Help > About" dialog from BarTender and as well of the "Help > Activate this software" one?

   

  Was a previous version of BarTender perhaps installed on this computer?

   

  Did you also install Seagull License Server as part of the installation on this computer?
