How To Extract Text Parts Using Functions

I have a field on CSV file which I want to split so that 123456 becomes 123 456. I plan to use left(field,3) & " " & right(field,3). Where do I put this expression? I started using Bartender on a trial basis last week. Thank you

  Dear Andrew, 

   

  You could the option "Character Template" Under Text Properties >> Data Sources >> Transform (3rd Tab) >> Character Template >> use Character Template: ??? ???
