Saving Serialized Barcodes

Hi, I am a newbie in using this software. I am just trying to figure out if I could generate consecutive barcodes and generate an exported  .bmp file for every single barcode created, automatically.

Is this program built for this, or do I have to change every single barcode and save it manually. I appreciate all the help that I can get.

  Hi there,

   

  BarTender does have basic (and advanced) serialization methods. Do the following: 

   

  1. Open a label, place a bar code or text object.
  2. Right-click on the object, select "Properties"
  3. Refer to attached image transform.jpg
  4. Refer to attached image serialization.jpg

  You will see in the first image that we select the data, seen as the number 1, which is also an embedded data source type. Once selected, it will give you new options in the dialog on the right-hand side. Clicking the transform tab will give us more options, including Serialization. Click the serialization option, selecting 'Increment' will turn on basic serialization by 1, every print job. You could also specify more advanced serialization options here as well.

   

  Next, in the print dialog, you will see an option for "Serial Numbers". This is how many labels you want printed with a new serial number. Finally, you will need to save the label for the serial number to stay serialized, if you don't it will revert back to the original number it opened with.

   

  With the .bmp images, there isn't a way to mass export the labels (or bar codes) into an image. There is a way to export them as an image, but this is one at a time utilizing BarTenders "Export Image" feature (File->Export Image). If you needed an image, you could think about utilizing a PDF printer as well. There are settings in a PDF printer to auto-save when printed, so it would save them into a directory every print job.
