can label templates be  created/edited dynamically from a VB/.net application.

This is to minimize the number of templates.

  It is not possible to create a new BarTender document or new document object via automation.  If the file and objects are already in existence then their properties can be modified to quite a broad extent in order to give you a dynamically changing label design.

   

  The recent versions of BarTender that support multiple templates and layers also bring the possibility of multiple label designs from a single document.  In this sense, at print time, you would simply enable only the template/layer that you wish to print, while disabling the rest.
