Missing Labels

Hi,

 

Apologies if this is not in the correct forum.

 

I am having problems with missing labels.

 

My application uses ActiveX controls to print standard cleanroom labels to Intermec pc43t printers.

The project is in its testing stage and we are having problems with occasional missing labels.

 

The print jobs will typically send print jobs of four or five labels, but occasionally will print out an extra blank label.

 

Also, if we print higher numbers of ten or more say, an extra label will occasionally appear in the seventh label position say then print out the remaining three labels.

 

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions as to what may be happening?

 

It does not appear to be a coding issue as the print job is sent one at a time using standard bartender code.

  That generally means that the printer is getting off calibration, and it's using that blank label to recalibrate itself.  You may need to adjust your label size a little, also consider slowing down the print speed a little.
