Serial Number On Label

I created a label with a serial number but cannot figure out how to save the last number used so the next time I print a label, I can start off printing with the next serial number.

  If you've the latest version of BarTender in use (v10.1) and at least the Automation Edition, the following feature (global data fields) will be interesting to you. Look at pages 16-17 from the below White Paper:

  If you don't have the latest version of BT, the serial number will be saved when the BT document gets saved. If you e.g. print via our Print Station application, the BT document will automatically save if it has a serial number on it:

  If you prefer to directly print via BarTender, and you're seeing this problem only when closing and restarting BarTender, then access the "Administer > Application Message Setup" dialog in BarTender, locate the 1605 message, disable the "Dialog (Interactive Use Only)" option and choose "Yes" as the default response to message. Have in mind however that this is a global BarTender setting which will save every BT document when you exit BarTender.
