Barcode shapes

Is there a way to change the shape of a barcode? Instead of a rectangle, make it a custom shape. An example, instead of a rectangle barcode there is a shape of a beer bottle, a heart, or some other logo.

  Not directly. You could perhaps superimpose an image over the top of the barcode as long as it had a void in the centre so the barcode can be seen but you would need to make sure that any lines in the image where far enough away from the barcode so as not to impinge on the quiet zones around it
