Export or programmatically modify the task list?

Due to a design error that has snowballed over the years, I'm looking at a task list consisting of hundreds of items in Commander.

Is there any way to access this list programmatically? I would love if it could be put out into an XML or similar, or even read in plain text so I could at least do bulk searches over it.

  Unfortunately, with previous versions of BarTender and Commander task list files you won't be able to open them in a readable format and text editor to modify them.

  However, it is worth mentioning in our latest 2016 version of BarTender using our Integration platform, you are able to open saved Integrations in a readable format (XML) and text editor to make modifications to the Integration.
