Connecting images in database with BarTender

So far we have been able to set up the function within BarTender that enables a database connection from an excel document which manually inputs data within the labels. BarTender is successfully importing the product data (i.e. product name / code etc) but is unable to link to the images. Our database holds links to locations of the images on our server rather than the images themselves. Is it possible that BarTender cant access these links because the product images aren't hosted locally?

  My guess would be that the "user account" that BarTender is using does not have sufficient rights to access the network drive and you may need to adjust (I think it is) the Printer Maestro service to run using an account other than the PCs local system account that has these rights
