Why is a single image split into upper and lower parts when saved as PDF using a PDF printer?

As shown in the figure below, the original image is a complete, standalone PNG file, and it works fine after being imported into Barcode Designer. However, when printed to a PDF file, the image is split into an upper and lower section, no longer remaining as a whole. The upper and lower sections can be moved independently in PDF editing mode. What is the reason for this? Why does Barcode Designer split the image?

I have tried Adobe PDF Printer and Microsoft Print to PDF, and both have this issue.
