Print Output Is Being "squished".

We are using BarTender 10.1, SR1 from Windows 7 64-bit.  The printer is a Zebra 105SL+, latest firmware installed, with 3"x10" labels.

 

When we print the labels, the print-preview screen shows the proper aspect ratio of the print out on a 3x10 label.  But when the printer actually prints, the horizontal print looks like it has squished the data from 10" to ~7.5".  It is most evident by the 2D data matrix code we have on the label:  instead of square it appears as a rectangle.

 

We have printed directly to the printer, as well as thru a print server with the same results.  We also did trouble shooting looking thru the page setup, printer preferences, etc  But the solution eludes us.  An older Intermac printer seems to output fine.

 

Anyone run into the same issue?  And if so, what was the cause/solution?

  What you're describing usually means that you've selected an improper DPI setting for the driver. Check the printer to verify if it's a 203 or 300 dpi device, and make sure that you have the correct dpi driver selected.

  It looks like the printer we recieved was not configured properly.  200dpi printer with 300dpi head. solution:  return printer.
