Record Number

How do you print the record number (i.e. the number shown in the navigation bar of the design view) on your printed label format when printing from a text file source? I don't think serialization will work because I'd like it to always reflect the record number from the file regardless or which labels you choose to print. In other words, if you print labels 1, 3, 5, and 10, they should be numbered that same way.

It doesn't seem it should be necessary to embed that value in my source text file, but that is an option if necessary.

Using Bartender Automation v9.4.

  Hi Chad,
  I think your idea - adding record number to CSV field - is the most simple solution.
  In serialization, you have option to update number by each records, however that won't reflect which rows you've selected at print time.
  Hope someone comes up with better idea.
