How To Refresh External Database (Excel)

I have created an Excel spreedsheet which uses the date to calculate the julian date of the year and create our product identification number (which includes the julian date).  Everything works when linking to Bartender, except I need it to refresh the Excel file when linking to keep the date and our product code correct.  How do I get the excel file tor refresh automatically?

  Hello bmisc,

   

  BarTender should retrieve the information from the database each time a print job is sent. In any case, if that's not working as expected, why don't you calculate the product identification number directly in BarTender?
