Error Code 3600

Following the link to an Excell database bartender brings an error message with the code 3600 and the following message: No data sources are set to "read from file". Enable the option in the dialog box "data source" in order to read data from a file for an object.

  You'll have to set a data source to "Database" rather than the default "Screen Data" (or "embedded" if you are version 10.0). Then you'll be able to select a field from your Excel file.
  
  Double click on any BarTender object to edit properties like this.
