As the title states, we have been experiencing slower than expected performance on BarTender Cloud when compared to the local version. We recently started a transition from BarTender 2021 R2 to Cloud, In the process of transitioning to the cloud version, we have seen longer than expected loading times with label templates in the Print Console.

For example, we load multiple nutritional labels (between 10-20 at times) in the BarTender designer locally & print from the console. On average, total print time from initially loading the template to sending the job to the printer, takes around 3-7 seconds. If we factor in a few extra seconds to adjust the expiration date on the print job just before we send it to the printer, we are looking at around 10-15 seconds.

On the cloud version, at minimum, we are looking at around 30-36 seconds total print time when loading the label template, adding the expiration date at the data entry step, & sending the job to the printer.

While I understand cloud will naturally be slower in performance when compared to the local version due to rendering the job in the browser, we are easily adding on an extra hour to our production time due to the extended time to print labels.
