Integration Help Needed - XML
Hi all, I'm building an integration to print labels from an XML file dropped into a shared folder on the server on which we have Bartender Installed.
I have built the label documents, the database using the XML schema, and I'm in the process of building the integration. The application that will generate these print requests is Workday and I have been given sample XML files to build and test with.
I'm building four integrations, one for each type of label (ie. Locations, Delivery Receipts, etc.) and the XML contains a “Label Printer” tag that identifies the label printer that the job should be sent to.
The prototype integration appears to work when I set the Print Document action's printer to a specific printer installed on the server, so I know the rest of the integration is working but I cannot find any details on the Bartender site on how to point the integration to print to the printer specified in the XML.

How can I pick up the printer name from the XML and send it to Bartender so that it knows where to print to? Also, can I use the Print Document action or do I need to look into a different print action?

You need to replace with the printer name with the Insert Variable option and select the field/code in the XML that contains the printer name. To do this highlight the printer name field and the Insert Variable option will become selectable and so you can then click on that and find and select the field with the printer name
