Problems With Ean/jan - 13
I am running Bartender Professional 7.51 and am having a little trouble with barcodes.
I have some old label formats that were created years ago, they print off without any problem but if I try to edit one of these labels then the trouble starts.
The labels contains an EAN/JAN-13 bar code with 13 digits, when I look at the screen data section in "Modify Selected Bar Code Object" tab "Data Source" I can only see the first 9 digits.
If I try to edit the barcode then the software will only allow me to enter 9 digits and adds 3 zeros the the beginning on the label design screen, truncating the end of the number.

Summary:
Microsoft released a Windows Security Patch on February 13, 2007 that actually changes the way a Windows-provided text component works. As a result, two very-well tested and long-used past versions of BarTender will now "cut off" keyboard-entered data in certain situations. The problem and four available workarounds are discussed below.
There are four options are on the web site.
The most common usage is option 3 : Copy the Original DLL into the BarTender Folder
