Ms-Access, Cannot See Query With Bartender 10.0 Sr4

Hi

 

I have an ms-access 2003 database that I connect to using Bartender 10.0 sr4. I can see the available ms-access tables but not the queries even if the tables types has "view" selected.

 

Any idea?

  How do you connect to Access?  Via OLE DB or ODBC?  If you have tried one with no success, try the other.

  Hi

  I tried using ODBC and it popup an error which explained why OLE DB what not working either. In that query I'm using a user defined function defined in the access db. If I remove this function, OLE DB and ODBC connections are working.

  If you make a straight forward query/view in Access is BarTender able to see it?  In order words, is the use of the user defined function the factor that causes the issue?  Can you tell us some more about the function?

  Yes a straight forward query works from Bartender. I had a function to check if a picture existed. I removed the function from the query and use Bartender to handle the situation when a picture doesn't exist.
