Using variable date formats
Via a database integration we receive Best Before Dates (BBD) to print, but depending on the customer/region we might need different date formats.
Is there a way to specify a Custom date format based on a external value (Named Datasource) being supplied by the Integration?
All suggestions welcome!

Yes there a few ways to achieve this.
The simplest would just be to use Suppression but this probably depends how many different options you have but on the image below the two digit field is used to control which substring prints
The date field for this is made up of 4 sub-strings each with the Date configured to print in a different layout and with Suppression configured so that they do not print if the two digit string (Named "thenumber" in my example) is not a certain value, as you can see here:

Thanks, Peter, very straightforward solution. We only have 3 or 4 different date formats, so, this should do the trick.
