What data source type to use for Bartender Software REST API (not cloud)

Hi, I'm experimenting with the REST API.

My old approach for data when printing is a JSON database, I wish to use REST API in the future. So right now, I have created a list of named data sources and their type is "Database Field" and the field name is pointing to the old JSON database. For the API printing to work, I have to remove the JSON database connection or else the label will print data from the JSON DB file instead from the REST API Payload. This solution feels hacky.

Am I doing things correctly? or should I choose another Named Data Source Type. What is the most proper way to set the named data source?

  I'm experimenting and used Embedded Data as my Named Datasource type and it worked for me.
