Installing New Printer With Custom Stock Sizes
Hello,
I have a small fleet of WASP WPL 606 printers.
I'm using the Wasp TSPL Driver version 7.1.9 M-0
Build Target: Win32
Build Date: 12/21/2009, 4:32PM
Whenever I install a WASP printer, I get four preset stock sizes.
As we only have one physical size, I'd like to be able to have the User stock be set to the size we use on install. I'd also like the other stocks to be removed.
I looked in the Defaults.sds file that was included with the driver:

But I couldn't find out how to edit the data correctly to get the desired results.
I removed entries and saved, but this had no effect on a new printer installation.
How do I set the default stock sizes on a new printer install?
Note, I'm using a script to install the printer, so if there's a command line way to do it, that would be just as useful.

From an installed printer driver make the changes to the stock sizes that you want and then export them as a file called Defaults.sds. Take this file and use it to replace the "Defaults.sds" file in the installation files of your printer driver. When you then install the printer driver using the modified installation files, by whatever method, the stock sizes that you want will be there by default. I would recommend that you download and install the latest version for this (v7.3) as the one you have is pretty old. 0 -

Thank you! That worked perfectly.
I was doing the same thing with the older drivers, but they kept reverting to the default size for the USER stock.
The new drivers fixed the issue.
