Can't Print A Label With A Clock Data Source Using Data Entry Form
Hi,
We are upgrading to BarTender 10.1 SR2 Automation Edition on Windows 7 machines after using BarTender 8.02 for many years on both Windows XP & 7 machines.
We are having issues with labels that have a our product date code on them. See the first attached label for a sample.
Our date code is formatted to be a 2 digit year with a 3 digit Julian code.
The date code shows correctly on the label and in the Data Entry Form using a clock data source, however, when the label is printed and the data entry screen pops up, the print button does not work. The clock data source field gets the focus, but there is no error message given for what BarTender doesn't like or why it won't print.
We can only print this label if we test print which is not acceptable because this label information frequently has to be edited before printing.
Any ideas why this no longer works in 10.1 or what we need to change?
The 2nd attached sample is a workaround I've tried using a date picker control on the data entry form. It allows the label to print, but it puts the date in a string format on the data entry screen that is not acceptable because it would force the person printing the label to calculate what the date code should be before printing and then select the calendar date to get the correct date code on the label. If this is the only way to do this now, we'd have create a way to convert the date picker field back into our date code and I cannot seem to figure out how to do this with a VB script transform nor do I feel this should be necessary when the clock data source does everything we need except allow us to print.
Any suggestions or help on this is appreciated.

I tried both of your documents with BarTender v10.1 SR3 beta on Windows 7 x64, which I have running on my PC, and had no problems printing either of these labels. We hope to release SR3 towards the end of March 2014, but if you cannot wait until then, then please email (emeatech@seagullscientific.com) tech-support, referencing this forum question, and we'll pass you a download link for the beta.
