Generating Unique label ID's

Hi Friends,

I am new to bartender, but have a strong background in coding for visual basic for applications (VBA). I am designing a 2D barcode and want to do the following:

1) Make a counter for all new labels printed. So each label would be labeled "1", "2", "3", etc..

2) Have a command to reset the count variable to 1 when another field changes value (in this case a field indicating the job number). I would be extremely comfortable doing this in Excel in a module, but I can't really find any cohesion between that and Bartender. I feel like I can script off of the "onidenticalcopies" command to get unique outputs for the labels, but don't know how to reset it when another field resets, or what that might look like as an example in scripts. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

  No need for coding, these options are already possible via the Transforms>Serialisation screens for the sub-string in question
