Can you add a field to Excel file that BarTender will not use

Hi 

We are updating our BarTender CSV file, and want to add a field that will be used in the future.

 

Is it possible to add this field and for BarTender to ignore it

  Yes. It will appear in the available list of fields in the list of the database fields in BarTender but just dont link any fields to it
