Pause script execution while editing

I have a label file script that runs slowly and always triggers script execution while editing, which is a waste of time. Can you disable script running while editing and allow VB script to run after editing?

  Try setting the script to run as an Event Controlled Script and specifying when it should be processed, such as OnNewRecord or OnIdenticalCopies etc
