Trial License for Enterprise - Can I downgrade and get new code for Free Edition?
I want to use the Free Edition because I couldn't find out how to register for free without doing the Enterprise trial. The trial has expired but I would like to continue using via the Free Edition. How can I downgrade from Enterprise? If a new license is required, how do I obtain one? Do I need to just deactivate the license first to find an option to activate it for the free version? Please advise, thanks!

Hello Tianna,
Welcome to the BarTender Community Forums!
Our BarTender software offers an ample selection of different editions to better suit our customer's needs; we don't have a Free Edition, however. We have a 30-day free trial of the Enterprise Edition available for download which I presume is the edition you used.
If you'd like to continue using BarTender, you can reach our Sales Department and/or one of our resellers and discuss the different options available to you and what would work best for you given your environment and needs.
You can reach our Sales Department via the following methods:
Tel: 1 425 641 1408
Fax: 1 425 641 1599
Email: sales@seagullscientific.com

Hello Xabier,
I had the same question as Tianna. On the Seagull Scientific website, it clearly states a Free Edition. I also used Bartender a few years ago using the free edition, but there is nowhere to get the product key for they version anymore:

Did Seagull Scientific remove it's availability while still promoting it on it's website?

Hi Jokari!
Thank you for your inquiry.
I understand there used to be a Free Edition; this edition was akin to a restricted Starter Edition, with many of our software's features capped. Along with it, we also offered a free 30-day trial of our software with all its features enabled. To avoid confusion, and to showcase all BarTender has to offer, we decided to keep the latter.
In the link you've attached, you can see that at several points, we mention this being a free trial:

You can also see that we mention having the ability to try Professional, Automation, and Enterprise edition features; this is something the edition you are making reference to wouldn't have had:
Please, let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
