Stuck with Printer Number Limitations during Debugging
Dear Bartender Team,
We have a Bartender Automation license with 2 printer licenses, I am working on a project which requires me to deal with a Zebra ZQ220 printer which does not seem to be in the list of printers when setting up drivers.
Since the printer supports CPCL, I tried installing some other models to see if I could still design the label, Long story short, The CPCL file Generated and printed label always have alignment issues. Now I am stuck with the error that I cannot try out a new printer different printer in 7 days, this error keeps coming even if I uninstall all other printers. There is no way I can 'unlicense' those printer drivers in next 7 days despite being a fully legitimate user and having no need to print on more than 1 printer.
From a licensing philosophy, this is an extremely regressive and punishing software design, one that punishes legitimate users entirely.
I am extremely disappoint and have been forced to rethink if buying the Bartender license was a worthwhile option when the software is so unfriendly to users who are just trying to get it to work.
Regards,
Nouman

Hello Nouman,
Your feedback is very important to us and we are sorry to hear you had issues with BarTender Printer Licensing.
As a reminder, BarTender uses the printer model, location, and port as its criteria for distinguishing printers, if the locations of the printers were changed, this would use additional license counts. The used printers list will remain there until a printer has not been used for seven days, at which point it is automatically removed and is no longer counted as a printer that is used by the license. It's not possible to manually remove the printer from the list once it has been used by BarTender.
That being said, when experiencing issues related to BarTender Licensing and Activations such as these; we would recommend directly reaching our Technical Support services, as they might be able to offer you a way of resetting your printer count depending on the software's configuration.
In order to access support, go to our Get Support page and enter your Support Number, this will automatically check your support status and provide you with links to your available lines of support. Also, please be sure to have your BarTender Support Number with you ready when you reach us as our technicians will have to check on your license and see what the status is from our side.
We would also suggest reviewing our white papers on the subject:- Error 1401: You have exceeded your maximum number of licensed printers
- License Management in BarTender 2019 and later
- Printer-Based Licensing - Technical Documents
We value your experience with our software and have noted your complaint.
Best regards,
