    Hi Moheda!

    Welcome to the BarTender Community!

First of all, is there any particular reason why you are using BarTender 2016 R3? The R3 service release is quite outdated and we would recommend upgrading your BarTender 2016 SR to the latest revision, as it offers a myriad of quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and security patches. You can find the latest revision for BarTender 2016 here, just select the BarTender 2016 R9 option which better suits your environment:

Having said that, I believe our options regarding this issue might depend on how are we printing via BarTender. Do you have an integration in place, or do you print directly from BarTender Designer?

If you have an integration, you should be able to supply a variable through the Command Script; for example, if we leave as the default printer the correct printer in each of the workstations (say workstation 1 has as it's default the METO printer, and workstation 2 the DATAMAX), then we can supply the location of the printer as /PRN="<USERPC>/<PRINTERNAME>". Replace these variables with the names of the workstations and the printers, and we should be good to go. For more information, take a moment to review this integration article (under Create and deploy the integration, step 7).

If you are not using an integration, then I'm afraid the document will store the printer data as the last printer which was used when the document was last saved.

I hope this information was of use to you.

    Hi!

Thank you for the quick answer!

I guess we still use it since it fits our needs. We have an even older version pre 2010 that works just fine also but we had to buy the new 2016 version because we needed more keys.

We print directly from the bartender designer so i guess we are out of luck.

We dont really use any of the features and only need a program to print.

Thank you for your helpfull answer nad have a great day!
